Exactly, people management and networking skills are just as crucial as technical competence. It's a simple fact, but work involves dealing with real people with their own quirks at the end of the day.

But I don't see Kanna being able to see that unless the two of them see each other eye to eye. Yayoi's still too lovestruck, and Kanna's still too deep in her inferiority complex. Can't wait to see how the author's gonna untangle this emotional mess.
All those social niceties are also why Japanese employees are some of the lowest productivity workers in the developed world.

Yeah like, this entire chapter was a good example of how Kanna is a great networker and speaker. Someone who is fully capable of bridging the gap between colleagues and thinking of the management side of things.

Sakuragawa literally says it herself when they're still in the meeting, the proposal Kanna brings to the table are normally things Sakuragawa just has to do herself because she doesn't have someone who can take care of that side of the business for her. This combined with the flashback literally being about Kanna convincing everyone in their class of the work that Sakuragawa had done, and the way she immediately ingratiated herself with Onizuka by preparing a thoughtful gift shows that Kanna might not be the entrepeneur she wanted to be but is someone who is who is very good at greasing wheels.

Kanna may not have Sakuragawa's initiative or maybe even talent for designing but she has a great eye for things and is a great advocate for good work. Honestly while there's definitely going to be bumps in the road I can kind of already see Kanna leaving her job at this bigger company to start working at Sakuragawa's because they really do complement each other from a business perspective alone already.
I love how well thought of this comment is! I'm not saying Kanna might be the best in being a fashion designer's assistant but maybe she could be peak at another career.

Ahh I hope for some more explicit stuff.
The role reversal from school to now, Top and bottom.
I want to know if after the project she might want to extend things or try going her own way and build her own business, and then if and when she's accomplished shall they reconnect or something.
I wanna see how their schoolmates would look, reunions and all.

I'm curious if there will be a dark twist, That would be interesting, there's all sorts of possibilities atm as we're not locked in a specific route.
Kanna not remembering some stuff back in HS is concerning but that's what makes this fun!

I love the trope of confused jealousy and history and tension and gratitude blending together and turning into love... so I NEED the author to stick the landing and have that actually be what occurs here. We could be looking at all-time peak, people! The second chapter shockingly went in the direction I wanted, so I'm optimistic...

(my bet is still that the love interest reveals she was indeed tricking her, the MC moreso gives in rather than directly falls in love, or both)
It would be interesting to see that bet, and what if Yayoi actually had another lover...

Copium maybe but I have hope. This will not be a toxic yuri, this will be a wholesome, real and multifaceted healing yuri. They can fix each other. It's PEAK!
