Imo, it's more like she's controlling of most aspects of their lives and has the say so of their relationship and how it progresses and how fast it does so. If she's feeling generous she'll let them have a day or so to hang out to a certain point, if not, then she's putting a roadblock up fast. So I definitely wouldn't call her great, however it works out for the group since the brother and best friend are pretty much subservient to her already.MC has a great sister. She's always doing things for him and her best friend so that they can get along with each other. She's also not just going along with things if either will hurt one another with the way they do things.
Agree the sister is the authors way of pacing the relationship with her controlling but loving manner.I'm glad that the misunderstanding was squashed asap.

She seems annoyingly authoritative to me, I don't think I could stand having a sibling like that.MC has a great sister. Fr, My lil sis is like that with everyone (except me) and yeah it got pretty frustrating. She seems annoyingly authoritative to me, I don't think I could stand having a sibling like that.
Sister is a plot device and nothing more. She is there to control the progress while being highly annoying in the process. If things need to slow down (in her opinion), you can be damn sure that she will materialize out of thin fucking air to stop it. Everyone is absolutely subservient to her and no character has agency. Author went too far with the in-universe break paddle. Now he/she can't make her likeable in a million years.MC has a great sister. The way Tsukko knowingly (IMHO) sabotaged the aquarium date in Chapter 5 made me dislike her. This was somewhat mitigated by her giving them space for Hinako's birthday present in Chapter 7, and the way she warned Hinako not to be "like that" with Asahi unless she liked him in Chapter 1 (canon pre-serialization) (where Asahi painfully overheard the reply that he was like a younger brother). (Hinako gets major point deductions at the aquarium date for vehemently denying that she asked Asahi to go, inflicting emotional damage.)Sister is a plot device and nothing more. She doesn't even deny the "sneaky" part.I don't trust her one bit.
