Oh what a cute story. Asahi really does love Hinako, but because she sees him as a little sister, he doesn't know how to charm her. She likes how honest he is with her, but can't be honest with him herself. It always ends with them not wanting to take the next step lol. The first time is when she kisses him, and the second when he says he likes her.

Tsukiko serves as a good ending to these chapters. She's a very serious but neutral person that's close to the both of them. She doesn't take sides, and she's very blunt.

Nope, back then she simply saw him as a little brother, she herself said it in that very same panel. Up until today he was a mix between a cute younger brother and a beloved pet.

Look at her reactions, she likes him for a long time, and she likes him so much that at times can't controll herself, just like at the end of chapter where she literally jumped on him. It's more like she thinks that he's still school boy, more so brother of her best friend, she feers to ruin relationships she has now etc. Common plot this days.
