@viovee They wanted their boss to be warm to them. And if it didn't matter that they ended up liking Angela, it wouldn't matter to Jayna now. It obviously matters because these are the people who are Jayna's support. Having them be even more sincere in their efforts is desirable. Happy workers, better results. It's just sad Jayna isn't changing now because she thinks they deserve better from her. Angela took advantage of Jayna's missed opportunity to actually form bonds with her workers. That's definitely partially Jayna's fault.

She only wanted to be the prettiest lady but she's steadily been going after powerful men even one Jayna hasn't given her direct access to yet? I think her goal to gain status is pretty clear and probably not new.

@Irze the btch did both. Previously she didn't know of the second prince that's why she aimed for the FL's fiancé. When she learned of the second prince, the btch went for more power but still kept Casiel as a lap dog to use and keep Jayna in check

I'm curious as to whether Jayna was lying when she corrected Angela's etiquette, on the one hand it seems weird for to correct her properly instead of letting her fail, but if she lied to her then it'd be easily found out by Angela once she embarrasses herself in front of the imperial family.

That dude Cassiel deserves no sympathy. Like someone else has said, the Cassiel we see now is the same one that abandoned FL. If he grew to be such a scumbag over later events that now are reversed and can be changed, such as him being manipulated to hate Jayna, it would be a diff story. But thats not the case here, as we see it was a ‚love on first sight my fiancee and decency be damned’ sort of situation, which comes from him being a trash person from the get-go.
If its another ‚he was drugged the entire time’ twist then thats just bad and as disappointing as another manhwa >>

@jouyato I like her ambition too but the fact that Angela can betray someone who genuinely tried to help her, has tarnished her forever in my mind

Interesting. Usually in an isekai, the protagonist usually has a very good control over the situation — at least in the beginning. But it seems quite early on it’s established that a lot is going off the previous course, and that how mystery of why Angela’s changed her behaviour from before. Cool.

angela does have a valid reason to hate the mc even tho the mc was super nice to her. im not excusing her actions at all im just saying she has valid motivations but her character is too twisted to support lmao.

overall angela's really interesting as a villain and honestly, almost makes u sympathetic for her if it wasnt for how fucked up she is. (although one could argue the mc has the same sort of sadism towards angela that angela has for her. they deserve each other as antagonist and protaginst 100% i like the hatred they have for one another it's very spicy and dare i say bc i am a lebanese, very gay)

i think that's not a "valid reason", it's all just Angela and her mother's delusions, sure they're also victims of Angela's father, but they take it on innocent people (such as Jayna and Jayna's mother)

You know what is the biggest irony? If she just let Jayna and her family live since the beginning, this won't happen. She already HAD everything for f sake. Now Angela's betrayal is going to betray her.
