@pavel94. As to why she was upset about seeing her sister-in-law with another guy? I think there's lots of things going on there.

1) The idea (nomatter how wrong it may be) that her sister in law being ‘unfaithful’ to her brother. It’s not true but it's a natural feeling.

2) She feels vunurable as she only has her sister in law looking out for her and because her brother never actually got round to registering the marrage that makes it even more of a problem.

3) Maybe she does have feelings for her sister in law. Personally I don’t think so.

Some of the younger people might be surprised how much worse our laws in this arena were even just twenty or thirty years ago. As it is, I can see something via Google-sensei (grain of salt, etc.) right now suggesting that in the US we still don't even have a nationally accepted definition for what constitutes rape when committed by a woman (statutory aside, that version of things was squared away well enough I think).

Maybe the idea of rape between women not being a thing derives in part from the general conception that "skinship" between people of the same sex (Specially females) tends to include some kind of rapey behaviour by default. Played as a joke of course.

My perspective might be warped tho, as I don't live in Japan and Japanese media is not the most accurate representation of its people. But the idea repeats over most countries with some kind of western influence as far as I can tell.

Also, criminally speaking rape is the charge originated from carnal abuse... Which by definition states that the agressor has to be male.

Still, that stuff exists. Sensei, be careful with what you say.

Is only law in the UK iirc. It’s a ridiculous law in the first place, since the implication is that only men rape women, which is false.
