Makie didn't wanted to let go his memories for Izumi, Izumi in the other hand wanted to be loved, if she wanted to eat Makie she would've done it a loong time ago.

As for supervisor, she might release her or at least try to contain her in another place. Mitsuhara is happy to be with Makie and wants to continue living with him, so fluff is safe at least for the moment.

There are two beings. One is human, and the other is a fake, pretending to be human.
The fake does such a good job at pretending to be human that is indistinguishable from being a human.

Which, then, is a better human?

There are three trains of thought.

The first is simple, straightforward, black and white. A human is a human, a fake is a fake. No fake can ever be as good as a human.

The second sees beyond this. If the human and the fake are indistinguishable, surely they are both equal.

And the third - the third view. The fake is of far greater value. In its deliberate attempt to be real, it's more real than the real thing.

Nisemonogatari had some wonderful quotes, and I feel it really applies here.

That first page had something I've never seen before; snowy/fuzzy negative space between panels. Every page I've ever seen in a manga had either solid black (flashbacks) or solid white (normal) negative space. Maybe even grey, but never fuzzy. Anyone ever seen that done in another manga?

I also really liked the monster design for the charmling. It kinda reminded me of the villain from the 1st digimon movie mixed with Hao's fire spirit from Shaman King.

"What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"
