It's supposed to be the difference between a performance and a contest. Normal MCs deal with contests... one where they might win or lose and we enjoy the process.

An OP MC is meant to be a performance... we don't enjoy the struggle or the will they won't they.... we want to just enjoy the dance and music...

Normal MC = Tennis Match or Basketball Game
OP MC = Dance Performance or Concert

But many authors try to do a bad mix of the 2...

I think the author has been doing a good job so far doing a mix of the both, since Layt is and OP MC, just limited by the quality of resources. That's been his only restraining factor, as far as I can tell.


But yeah, I kinda hope they also make hentai.....

The art IS amazing, but the story definitely needs to progress faster. It's been so long (I don't know how many chapters and how many months) but the MC is still struggling against I don't know what. Just look at the past few chapters, how many moves has MC done against the magician, compared to the lengthy epic fights of the side characters? MC should have killed (I refuse to call this assassination) the magician already and not allowing him to talk shit, posing, watching and controlling his slaves, and even manipulate the civilian that stabbed the princess.

I was worried I wouldn’t remember what was happening, great art as always. Artist always comes with one good visual gag per issue, which is fun to read.

Story would be better if it came out on a regular schedule, literally the pacing of the issues is killing the story.

I think the pacing and story are fine, it just feels like a real drag because the releases take quite a while and there are too few chapters per volume so it feels like its taking super long.
