If you look closely. MC has blushed ONCE when with Amane. Also his ideal is to be "normal." Knowing that it is VERY unlikely that he will fall for Amane who is really popular. On the other hand, Ayacha is not really popular, which makes her ideal for MC. I do acknowledge your point about her just spawning in but it was just a matter of making the story more interesting.

I re-read and have not a single panel where they kissed. There was just parts where Amane hugged him 2 times. Other than that there have been no interactions between them. It is also reasonable that Ayacha is going to become MC's girlfriend. This is due to him wanting to be "normal" to which Amane does not suit at all. Also it shows that through the chapter 2-5 how MC thinks of Amane as a friend and not someone as his "precious." On the other hand we have Ayacha who MC interacted a lot and actually feels more connected to. This of course all just MY opinion so I CAN be wrong.
