Still, I can't stress enough how important a good fullback for any team. Mourinho even bought 2 fullbacks as his personal transfer in Doherty and Reguilon. If you have a good fullback, the enemy cant attack from the wing, and they also will provide a width and passing options in midfield. Heck, even since I watch football back then, I know Ashley Cole and Lizarazu is a top notch player with very high attributes in both attack and defense.
@Petrichormus Beg to differ. Tactic is important but in everything, its about timing. We know someone named Robben will always cut inside to score a goal. Of course you will be prepared when he is cut inside. Still its unstopabble since he already master the timing of cut inside. For compact defense like this, timing also important and Ashito cut the pass because he read the timing perfectly
@mrlaw0810 love it when you mention 3-1 Intermilan Barca. Its a perfect example how to execute counter attack properly. Fortunately Inter back then had Sneidjer as their 10 and Milito also Etoo as their 9.
