At first I thought he might of committed suicide but then when his sister was shown smiling and crying I thought she might of had something to do with his death but now Asa seems real suspicious. Looks like I need to read the novel.
Oh man.. WTF.. bring back all the sad emotions that I poured out for this.
Everything just good until i feel the remaining pages are not enough to end the story well.
I went back to scrolling upwards only to accept the harsh reality that there is no next chapter.
The next thing I forced to accept a cliffhanger ending ( T T )
So glad I was finally able to find this manga again!!! I read it years ago when it was still in serialization, and never was able to find it again. I always thought it had a really great premise and like the chemistry the MC had with Honoka. I always wanted to get around to reading the light novel but never did. The story was pretty promising and wished the manga went into more of the source material or at least got an anime. It's a sad fate when manga adaptions of light novels are just really good advertisements for the light novel. But it's understandable.
The manga has only 3 vols before getting axed. LN has 10 and completed. There are 8 or more girls with which Hikaru(the ghost) had relations before his death, not all of them are romantical. Akagi will help them move on from Hikaru and uncover the mystery behind his death. As you would expect, MC gains a harem.
My memory is fuzzy as I've read it long time ago, but here is a summary with ending spoiled.
Akagi's harem includes even a yandere boy(Hikaru's brother).
Hikaru isn't romantically interested in the girls, he was just a feminine boy who understood women and helps them, thus making them fall in love with him. It was later revealed that he was in love with his step-mother.
Hikaru died due to an accident. Akagi almost died the same way on last chapter.
Akagi reveals that he is in love with Honoka and choosed her in the end. Her relation progress is natural and one of the most satisfying in any romance LN imo. She had help the MC throughout the series and is the only one who has no direct relation to Hikaru. (My Yui ship almost sailed but Honoka was too strong)
Hikaru's ghost finally leaves Earth after fulfilling his last promise. (I forgot what it was)
I recommend reading the novel since it is quite good. It has a warm and cozy feeling (for most parts). The unofficial english translator(Hellping) did a great job.
