I still think the guy really kept up the mask of a "toxic persona" way longer than is realistically possible for a sweet boy type. Friend of mine tried to be something different when he started streaming but, as is typical for masking, it slipped after 3 months and he completely dropped it by 6 months. The guilt of "lying" (even though it was his intended persona) was simply too much for his honest-to-god sweet personality.
