Judging by the level of risqué humor, I'm assuming the succubi who toppled the elven kingdom are from a Rance-like eroge, as is the idiot with the cheat sword and the fawning f---slave...?So far we got MC with RTS.
The one idiot dude with Isekai RPG.
Demon lord army from Dragon Quest old style RPG.
And now a tabletop RPG.
What we're missing now is TBS RPG, Action RPG and Pokemon.
Yep, the rougelike player would just lose, and kept getting stronger whenever they face em, until they couldnt win anymore.Nah, the Roguelike Deckbuilder game enemy will be his toughest challenge.
Roguelike, so the enemy should not be really killable, after all he should just revive, no?Nah, the Roguelike Deckbuilder game enemy will be his toughest challenge.
Yep different manga that is also slow on the updatesIs this the last chapter? I thought the last time i read this was they were at a war with the human and human summoned angels but also got slaughtered is that a different manga? It was a different manga but with bugs
I mean, that's how Starcraft and other games similar work right? Just because you destroyed their Nexus/Command Center/Hive, doesn't mean the game is over. Either the player has to concede, or every building has to be destroyed. They didn't destroy a single building of theirs, all they did was attack the player, in which technically the players don't actually exist on the playing field in RTS. The player takes control of units and buildings, but they're not actually present in the game itself. So perhaps that's why he can't die. Or maybe his life is tied to Atou, since when he actually started in the beginning after being isekai'd, all he had was Atou. Either way, there are plenty of explanations as to why he revived and it wasn't game over for him.If all of those things were indeed fatal but he did not die, and his HQ was destroyed, I presume he can not be defeated unless all his units are dead before him. He can rebuild his nation as long as there is one unit to his name, and has enough resources.
Reminds me of some C&C skirmishes where I had to explore the whole map to find THAT ONE LAST UNIT.
Is it from the author's understanding of 4e, 'cause that seriously killed my interest in this manga. Brainwashing is always just a lame cop out...Its "persuasion" in the dumbest interpretation of it.
the ability of the guy who has the dnd power is he is a dm and can force a nat20. So they did a persuasion check to convert atou to their side. It changed her into an NPC on the "players" (his witch) side. Its bullshit stupid. Like yeah, a DM can let their players do stupid shit and get away with it but its such terrible DMing and it infuriates me. They nat20 the sneak to get to the camp too.
Ooh, this series is back! Thanks for the translation.
I remember being pissed off at the Atou brainwashing until someone told me how the situation ends up.
might I ask where did you read it and what volume/chapter?I've said it before, but as a novel reader I'm so hyped for this arc!!!
Something along the lines of she was just forced to work for them due to the enemy's DnD-esque rules. She still loves her King very dearly to the point that they stopped having her do work just so that they wouldn't have to listen to her talk about him constantly.Sorry for asking spoilers but how did it end up?
Most versions of DnD have "taking 10" which means if your skill plus 10 beats the DC, no need to roll, auto-succeed. Older versions of DnD (3.5 and earlier) had "taking 20" which is just straight auto-succeed. However, that implied at least one failure because you were going "A roll of 1 gets nothing...a roll of 2 gets nothing..." etc until "A roll of 20 gets me success."I've not played much 4e, but can you really reroll as much as you like? That sounds so fucking lame...
This is correct. Not sure why everyone is parroting the other responses ofFunny enough, second post jogged my memory.
You even get hints throughout the chapter now that I reread, basically from the lore dump at the end and the discussion the saint was having, it’s just enough to piece together that Takuto has the ability to become his enemies, taking on their form and all abilities, so no he doesn’t have DIRECT combat abilities but like Atou can make use of others as well as evade the TTRPG almost omnipotent abilities by becoming other people. Basically he become John Carpenter’s “The Thing” and starts bumping characters off one by one. And that’s Not even a huge spoiler compared to the final fight.
Probably because the entire setup to this point has been a battle royale of game genres (MC is a 4x RTS / online empire builder like Nationstates, the Four Demons were JRPG like Final Fantasy, succubus is an eroge, this new girl is DnD style TTRPG,). It feels like becoming other people is completely out of left field, and fits more of a horror/slasher game like Dead Space or Silent Hill than it does a 4X RTS or nation builder. The only thing that made me leery of it was because even RTS have mission objectives like "Hero X must survive" or the mission fails/resets, so there must have been something else going on.This is correct.
