Somehow the plot is both fast paced, but every chapter has next to nothing in it. The art is good, but everything else is a mess.

I was amazed by the art at first, but the story genuinely is just bad. The writing is the worst I've seen in a while. Nothing is built up to, it seems almost like they're just making it up as they go. Plot twists come from nowhere and you can't expect anything since a lot of the decisions are just... bad. I mean is the main character triple reincarnated??? There's no way to know. AND WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL GIRL BECOMING A WEBTOON AUTHOR??????? I praise the artist for putting up with the writer, unless they're also the writer, in which case... you could really be putting your talents to better use...

The art is good but the plot is messy and the chapter ends suddenly. The black hair knight despite being on the cover had a short appearance. The author is trying to make it like a mystery suspense by giving out limited information which make the story all over the place with no idea what is going on as if the reader is expected to kno or accept it.

Wattpad quality writing. Super creepy on top of that. Art is good, the artist better be being paid a lifesworth for allowing their beautiful art to be associated with this horrible writing. Author has some uncomfortable fantasies and I would not trust them with a child's wellbeing and safety.

It’s slightly better Chinese junk food. You know the usual trash, this one is slightly better. It has the same brain empty action and plot sequences the Chinese are know for, but the overall story here is better than the norm. It’s a solid 5 purely for art. Loses 5 for 0 on story. Every part matters, not just the general concept.

See what I quoted there? Those are the only relevant arguments in your critique of this work.

The rest is just your totally irrelevant, copied and pasted, hateful, idiotic, disgusting and uneducated opinion about Chinese manhua and culture.
Can't you guys learn how to argue your points without leaking your disguisting and simplistic internal thoughts? Always comparing what you're reading with 'the usual chinese trash', when it's usually bad not because it's Chinese but because the author is bad.
Some Japanese authors and Koreans are also bad, but do you complain about trash Korean manhwa or Japanese manga?

Now tell me how this story is bad precisely because it's Chinese.

That's what your two first sentences are saying, now defend your point! Or just admit you were wrong for having said that. Admit that it's wrong and very disrespectful to label everything and anything a "trash Chinese manhua". 😠
To play the devils advocate, I think it's commonly accepted what kind of "trash" we are talking about:

Trash Japanese manga - Isekai with harem and beautiful girls who can't get off MC's dick, and MC being completely inept anti social loser who falls over in every scene just to get caught grabbing one of the girls boobs. Or bleeding out of the nose when he accidentally walks into bathroom with one of the girls showering.

Trash Korean mahwa - Loser kid gets beaten up every day at school, the girl he likes asked bullies to stop beating him up and ended up bullied and killed for that. Kid mustered all his courage to fight back at school but didn't have enough strength to fight back, got beaten up again. One of the guys he punched turned out to be son of a president of some megacorporation that kids parents worked at and as a revenge made it so the kids parents get fired and they have no way of making money anymore.
Then MC discovers thingamajig and becomes super strong and beats everyone up and kills his archenemy.

Can't comment about Chinese manhua because I don't read it that often, @kaisrisque could probably tell you about it.

So to answer your question, yes, people do complain about "the usual" japanese and korean trash (stereotypically bad) manga. Especially in Russian manga forums that I visit.

Doubt kaisrisque is talking about Chinese culture or China in general.

This can also be found in manhua, regularly so.

This is also a common plot in manhua, I've actually read more than one like this this week: example one, example two.

So there's no trash "japanese" or "korean" or "chinese" manga. There are trashy plots.
But going by: "most manhua(or manga or manhwa, you got it, here it's just manhua that he used) are trash" is not okay, rather than saying "this type of trope is trash". Example:

Saying "brain empty action and plot sequences" is a not a native characteristic of manhua plots, but all around the world, it's a general plot characteristic.
Criticizing manhua as a whole because this person read two or three manhua that were bad, it is being an idiot and being uneducated.

Proof here too, in the same sentence: "the Chinese are know[n] for".
What an argument! Just because other people badmouth manhua, it becomes justified for you to do the same, without checking if this reputation is justified and true? Disregarding the good literature by taking a small number of examples to trash Chinese manhua and culture around is despicable.

In my previous comment, I urged the person to defend his point. You did it in his place, and that's alright.
I believed you'd be defending the indefensible, so I wasn't worried about your answer.
Yes, both genres can be found in either manga/manhua/manhwa, point is,

Isekai DOMINATES in manga by sheer amounts of comics.
Weak school boy beats bad guy Revenge genre DOMINATES manhwa by amounts of comics.
Just the way pseudo-reincarnated person travels to alternative world and starts farming Qi or whatever they think of in manhua to become stronger, dominates manhua, because qi/karma/etc. is closely tied to Chinese culture.

This reminds me of a Russian saying, "There are no bad nationalities (people as a nationality), only bad people". And that's essentially what you are saying. It's not Chinese people's fault that some decide to make some bad manhua.

But I think you are missing the point slightly, it's nothing to do with nationality and everything to do with just how popular these genres are, and how many of those are filled with god awful comics in manga/manhua/manhwa.

So when someone mentions trash "manga/manhua/manhwa" they probably mean to generelize and bunch it together with those awful ones. Although I don't know what's the point in saying "Chinese manhua", because it's name "manhua" implies where comic is published.

In any case, you are right, I agree with you, it really sounds like @kaisrisque just hates manhua or even worse, the people as a whole (but I doubt it) BUT, in their defence (well, it's my last line of defence really), they might be just really really bad at english... you know, I definitelly have said my fair share of shit back when I didn't know half of the words in english language  .

This clearly sounds like he agrees that most manhua are bad, this one's just better than the norm as he says. Or it's just slightly better Chinese junk food. Or slightly better than the usual trash.

That doesn't sound very flattering for manhua and Chinese culture in general.
If he didn't mean to trash Chinese culture around, he wouldn't have said that.

Repeating his point in three sentences, in three different ways, it then doesn't seem like it could just be a language barrier problem. Definitely not.
:angery:
:fml:
We wouldn't know really, at least until they respond. In any case it isn't really that serious. Who cares what some rando types on internet.
