Are desktop users a dying species?

I keep seeing posts from users that frequent the sit who do so via the mobile version.🤥
As a desktop user with a 24 inch tv for a moniter (yet I still have to scroll to see the page) I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone can read a manga on a palm size display. 😨
Are the mobile users only perusing the site while away from their pc, or has the smartphone replaced the desktop/laptop completely?

The day I use a smartphone for reading manga is the day I decide my eyes aren't worth maintaining anymore.

No, It's more likely anyone who has a Desktop or Laptop will guaranteed have a phone. You can use your phone anywhere, that's not what you do with a Desktop or Laptop when you need to get serious and work.

In fact, I know a lot of people use their phones will going to the bathroom, so enjoy that image and imagine. All that wasted Poo time. NOT ANYMORE! Instead, they're using their phones while pooing or peeing. 10/10.

Poodex confirmed. On the dark side, this is also why people find Fecal bacteria everywhere. . . . . they don't clean their phones and then they put their fingers own those phones and then . . . . oh dear fecal bacteria everywhere. Bonus points if they drop their phone in the public bathroom . . . . and don't clean it afterward lol.

I can't stand reading manga on my phone and quite frankly don't know how people do.
I always have and always will read on my computer.

No they aren't, which is what makes the move many sites are doing by changing browser layouts to be more mobile friendly annoying. Because it's less desktop friendly in many cases I've seen.

My phone to read manga is a tool of last resort unless I forgot to charge my larger display mobile devices (tablets) when going to bed. I was connecting my old computer to a HDTV as my preferred method (ancient Q6600 quadcore, my media center computer for the last about 10 years, I have intentions of replacing it soon, had a 48" and since it conked out, in the market for another non-smart HDTV as well). In order of use are the previous desktop/HDTV from the couch, my 24" all-in-one at the desk, laptop 15" when I carry it out in pubic (not doing this much due to Corona), and my 10" windows tablet at home when in bed, and I have a 7" firetab with a waterproof/impact resistant case for the... ahem throne (toilet) or bathtub (I like the fact it allows me to sterilize it). I'm also considering getting a cheap projector (thinking about this option in about 2+ years from now) to aim at the ceiling to surf the web and read mangas in bed as a replacement for using tablets currently, I noticed some of the $150-250 led projectors have a decent enough resolution but have problems with light gain so the display washes out when lights from passing cars move by unless black out curtains are used.

I've always loved the desktop user experience, it got even better why you can use a HDTV as a monitor (for those who in the past did this before HDTV era... you understand) and couch surf. For those that don't mind using their laptop with an hdmi cable, I'd recommend Logitech K400 as your laptop surfing keyboard/touchpad.

My precious desktop met it's end last year, so I'm stuck using a smartphone. It's hard to read stuff. Even typing can become a chore. 😭

The good thing is that I spend less time sitting. Imagine having a desk job, and then when you get home, you sit, again, in front of a computer, reading manga, watching YouTube, etc.

Now I can do those while lying down on the bed/sofa, on my commute, etc., just not in the toilet/bathroom (there are exceptions such as if I'm in the middle of an important conversation and I had to go).

I guess another option would be a tablet, if you like the flexibility and at the same time having a larger screen, as long as you can endure its weight.

In the last month, 65% of users visited on a mobile, 29% on desktop and 6% on tablet. So yeah, there are fewer desktop users.

It used to be 50% mobile/tablet and 50% desktop a while back, and it seems desktop users are decreasing.

I think the best way to read manga is a 10" tablet in vertical mode, since it has the right size to show a full page at the best resolution. I sometimes use my pc, if I am already using it, but you either show only a part of the page or you use only a small fraction of the screen, resulting in a poorer experience.
If I am not at home (public transit, lunch brake or any time you have to wait) I use a smartphone in horizontal mode.

15% is a pretty big jump! Perhaps it's because the truents are reading manga under their beds while their parents are teleworking on the pc in the next room. 😏

It'd be kind of ironic if on the month of the JUST BECAUSE IT'S COVID19, KEEP YO BUTT AT HOME! lockdown everyone hit the road to surf the net on their mobile media.😅

I have my PC desktop mirrored on a monitor and my TV so I can sit back and read manga while reclining. Without such a set up, I think it would be more comfortable to use a tablet to read.

I'm 80% mobile user. I don't mind using desktop, tablet or anything as long as I can read my favorite manga update.

I also prefer using mobile since you can read while lying down.

I tried reading a manga in a smartphone (iphone xr) and it really sucks. you cant read a damn thing without zooming it all way in, dont even bother doing the zooming on a manwha with continuous page.

I can easily fix this by using a bigger screen tablet like iPad Pro or something but my 24imch desktop monitor is much better both for my eyes and accessibility.

I read on smartphone mainly because I can't focus when I'm on a desktop (also my desktop died 2 yrs ago and I'm kinda poor rn, can't afford blahblah). Would love to use a tablet since it has bigger screen but that's mainly for distracting the kid when I'm busy.
