I mean, say it's all bad and stuff, but I find it... rather interesting? Not the usual premise of a happy ending (everybody like those) but the harsh truth that we're only human. We're truly are vulnerable and not as strong as we think. There exists variables in life, not really much of a prefix except for birth and death with a dash of luck on our side. It's a reminiscence of reality, or at least what it used to be.

I hypothesis that the concept and ideas still lies near the realm of our reality, thus making our inner perspective squeal with disgust. Let be honest, the harrowing fate and misfortune told in the manga might be... unpleasant for us, thus the reason for us looking it with scorn. So, if you want to enjoy this work specifically, I suggest that you disregard who's the author is and read it as an objective manner. It'll help you, a bit. ... Maybe?
eh in all honesty people just wanted the funny story to have a happy end reality sucks enough, personally found it to be an ok ending

Plague would've been a way cooler ending though, she brings in an infected corpse to get back at them all.
the plague is going to spread there anyway the corpse most likely did get infected as the cat seemed to be a carrier, that's why the knight kills it and leaves.

yea here and on Reddit people seem deadset on this plague idea, but the commoner never shows signs of it and its never mentioned of him showing signs, he definitely dies from the blows to the head and it seems like the cat was the carrier for the plague in this scenario hence why the knight kills it, honestly I wish hamita would stop with the shaggy dog stories.
I'm so mad, man. I've stopped paying attention to his stories now, because this one had so much potential. I get that it's his "signature thing" but it gets a bit old lmao.

I mean it did conclude though the commoner dies the shorts knight leaves because the kingdom is falling to ruin, the only real open end is what becomes of the slave and the kingdom riddled with plague. maybe she dies there(I think she probably does) as well? does she find a new master? who knows but other than that its a fine ending.
I think it's implied by the shorts man that slave-chan is going to have her vengeance on the kingdom and that it could spell serious trouble for them, considering how she is almost supernaturally driven.

thing is I don't mind a good tragic end every once in a while but ALL their works are just shaggy dog endings, if they ever get an actual serialized work I don't think its gonna go too far before people get fed up with it.

I don't know what the general consensus is on this but I gotta give it a solid 4/10. The beginning is great but once they get to the castle and the slave turns into billy badass it just loses me. And when they show that people are gonna die left and right so early on it removes any shock from seeing stuff like the diseased well or even the commoner/master dying. The slave being able to do batman levels of unarmed combat is just silly. Like her catching a sword with her feet and using it to cut rope. I checked this out because people seem to think highly of this author but if this is what their work is like I'm in for a bad time
