this strangely feels like we're coming to some sort of end :pepehmm:Maybe we'll move into a new arc with Arte and Leo, but things seem to be winding down. Thanks so much for uploading! :hearts:

thanks for picking up this series. there are a few things i'd like to point out.

1. use a differnt font. this one doesnt really suit the series, maybe try to find something similar to the one the previous scanlator used

2. separate words properly when you cant fit the whole thing into the bubble. make the cut after a syllable and use a dash

3. try not to repeat words. one example would be page 6; "leave the room and leave you two alone" - it would be better to make it "leave the room so you can be alone"

i'd have liked to help you as a proofreader but i already do it for another series despite being busy irl, but maybe someone else offers you help.

A lot must have happened between the last translated chapter (72) and this one, I'm missing some context. Thank you for the translations regardless!

Someone remind me, did Strawveve dropped his translation?

No, you have not missed context.
That's a criticism I unfortunatelly have with this series.
Arte arrives at Castille, Irene presents her to the Emperor, her brother, and... time skip. Nothing happened, we don't see Arte living in Spain at all. There's at least six years of life that are just ignored by the story and it goes straight to her returning to Leo.
And having read a bit of the RAWs I don't get the sense she changed at all in those six years.

Nothing bothers me more than when a series hypes up an event and then time skips through it so we don't get to see how said character(s) overcame those challenges.
"Arte's going to Spain, how will life in the royal palace treat her? SIKE We're skippin that."
Like, I get they don't wanna drag things out, but I find it more interesting (and less confusing) to watch a character grow rather than see them when they've grown.
I was originally gonna say that they probably did it because the series was ending and wanted to wrap things up, but I just checked the raws and it's almost at 200 chapters :// Can't read any of it of course but safe to say I was way off.
Anyways, I am an avid timeskip hater and Arte is by far one of the worst series I've seen with it. I understand there will be months skips during moments when she's just painting, but there have been multiple times when I've been utterly confused because the timeskip makes absolutely no sense

What happened in Arte is specially annoying because... did you read chapter 74?
After being presented as Irene's court painter, leaving the room where she meet the king, Arte, Irene and Azucena talk a bit and Arte is warned that she will meet with plenty of intrigue and attacked for being a "foreigner" and that they're are happy to have Arte there, that it's so leal and strong willed.
They part for the moment and immediately Arte meets with something that she will have to bear while living in the court, plus she is back to being doubted and underestimated for being a woman.
But with all she lived till now she will be ok... then... the chapter ends with her body guard arriving to meet her for her travel back to Italy!
Unbelievable, all the separation arc for nothing?
Honestly, I'm liking this arc with her travel back to Italy, but I should expect at least a full volume of stories of her time in Spain and about the other characters moving on with their own lives.

And you're wrong about the RAWs being at almost 200 chapters, it's almost at 100.
On the official site the chapters are split into two, so chapter 182 is actually chapter 90 into volume 18.

Yes I did and am extremely pissed! For basically everything you mentioned! I was honestly in shock and couldn't believe they were actually doing a timeskip, one that is YEARS long. They made us so invested in how Arte is going to tackle life at court only to... skip it? What?? What was the point of all that buildup if we're not actually gonna see how she overcomes it? And Irene? She has kids?? FOUR OF THEM??? Wasnt there a whole thing about how she's never met her fiancé but is a complete romantic? I would've LOVED to see her meet him for the first time, how their relationship developed, and if it changed her perception on love.
In all honesty I lost interest in arte as soon as the "romance" started becoming more prevalent. I have no idea how they plan on to take the relationship between Leo and Arte (if it'll stay platonic or if it'll be something more) but to do all of this just to speed up getting them together is so... I love Leo too! I was sad to see him and Arte separated! BUT YOU MADE ME EXCITED TO SEE WHAT WAS TO COME! AND NOW I DON'T EVEN GET TO SEE IT????
And you're wrong about the RAWs being at almost 200 chapters
I see! I figured I was getting something wrong but it was late and I can't read Japanese so I didnt put much effort in. Thank you though!

That's why the anime was bad, they made Arte cuter, more incompetent, and focused too much on the "romance".
This history is hindered by the importance it gives to Arte's love for Leo.

Can you tell me where you found the raws? I can't seem to find them at my usual sites :)

If you're on desktop go to the arte home page, on the left if you scroll there should be a "official raws" link.
If on mobile, same deal, just click the button that expands the description and scroll until you find the "official raw's link.

I didn't read any of them bc 1. I can't read japanese LMAO and 2. I think they're locked behind a paywall (didn't check). I just did a quick scroll to see how far along the story was. Sorry, this probably wasn't what you were hoping for

I see it now, thanks! I didn't know that the translations were so FAR behind, like DAMN! I hope we can get some more translations soon! I hate Comikey and their paywall bs
