Little nitpick of mine. I'm fine when characters do the whole "keep our relationship a secret", but something about people hiding their engagements, especially w/ mc's like this, it just ticks me off. Like, wouldn't it be better for you if you told people? Sure they'd resent you, but then fmc can openly support you and possibly even get others to favor you. On the other hand, when you keep it a secret, it only makes people jealous that the mc gets game and they don't. And chances are, it'll lead to them bullying the mc and backlash from fmc that only harms her.

As a fellow loner, the communication skills of this guy is painfully cringe and awkward...is it even possible to be THIS bad at communicating? Without being like, autistic or something?
You know what never mind, I have played TCGs competitively before and some of the people I see there are insane at how poorly they handle talking to another human being, let alone a woman
