Why are people talking about it being axed?

Has it been axed? Did it go on a hiatus? Did it go on a short break?

At the end of chapter 19, the latest right now, it said that the next one would come out on the 19th of December 2023. There has been no update since then though, which might be why people are saying that. As far as I know, there has been no official confirmation of it getting cancelled, so probably a short break for the holidays imo.
