I think the idea to introduce this side of this character, is so that we see him as a full blown out transvestite in the present. Its more interesting to see how big changes develop into the present when the MC finds these characters. Also both the main chick and the sailor mars dude are going to tokyo, so he's a possible lead

No I'm not. Ask any parent whether they'd prefer a mid twenties woman have sex with their teenage or pre-teen son or whether they'd prefer a mid twenties woman encourage their teenage or pre-teen son to be homosexual. Vast majority would prefer the former because the former results in a son who is a normal adult who will get married and have kids while the latter results in a son who is a homosexual genetic dead end who will never give you grand kids.

A lot of people are so delusional and out of touch with nature and reality that they think that being homosexual is just as good a state of affairs as being healthy and normal. This is as deluded as believing that it is as good to have schizophrenia as to be healthy and normal, or believing that having syphilis is as good as not having syphilis.

Diseases are "natural" in some sense. That doesn't mean they're good. Being in touch with nature means being able to recognise that diseases are bad things.
Saying that it's natural for animals to be exclusively/predominantly same-sex attracted is like saying that it's natural for animals to have epilepsy or bubonic plague.
btw exclusive/predominant same sex attraction is most likely caused by a pathogen. Its been a min since the last couple chapters,so i feel like ive forgotten some stuffm can someone give a explanation of whats going on, mainly like do we know why asako has been so secretive and not using her real name? or we just haven't reached that yet? and mainly why does she act like that with mc? like is it because at that point he was still a kid, so she never took him seriously or is it for some other reason?

Sorry. We need to stop plot development to force some random lgbt2q+ stuff for no reason. This is ridiculous level of dragging ngl lol. Starting to lose interest in this manga

Just came from skim reading the rest of volumes 5,6 and 7. Not a bad ending; Masashi got closure.

A bit annoyed at how they depicted Asako and her generation. She looks 55 not 42.

She was 17 when she 'murdered' her parent in 1986 (as per the documents they unraveled from the archives). So she was 27 when she visited Masashi when he was 11-12 pre-time skip. That was in 1996, 10 years after the murder. Given that Masashi is 34 in the time skip, she should be 51 or so.
