I know folks are wanting to have the 'bad guys' run through with spears but no-one is really evil - just misguided in what they think is their only option. A massive middle finger to those who think otherwise.

Okay, I'll admit that him jumping in front of the spear to prevent the one he loved from dying was quite the redemption arc, and it's a genius way for MC to get the ring back. Granted, I think him acting all-buddy-buddy with him is a bit off, even if it is completely in-character for him, but I'm interested to see where the series goes from here.

I frankly never understood Japan and their hypocritical bullshit. I'm not saying Ritsu should have gone out of his way to kill the guy, but if an opportunity presents itself where the would-be-MURDERER, WHO UP TO THIS POINT WAS STILL TRYING TO KILL THE MC kicks the bucket instead, I see no logical, emotional and or psychological reason to help. The kick to the nuts is the: " oh hey, you tried to kill me over a ring but since I didn't die, let's be friends instead!" garbage.

Hah, I really miss the days of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? Campione! Grisaia series etc. Hell, a parody like KonoSuba does better rom-com than 99% of the stuff that gets released nowadays.

I get ritsu is a "people-pleaser" as asmo-tan calls it but there's a fine line between forgiveness and turning the other cheek to just being a fucking doormat who lets anyone and everyone walk all over you. Seriously, allowing him to get off scot free with only getting a spear run through him and getting immediately treated afterwards is just mind boggling. Like I would at least expect him to be mistrusting of him and not immediately try to become friends with him.
