It's a cute love story between two people slowly getting adjusted to one another. The main charm lies in those small moments where they try awkardly grow closer to one another.
At the same time, it's also a story where the male lead, Sagami, is an obvious audience surrogate whose purpose is to guide how the audience should observe and react to the female lead, Musubu, who serves as eyecandy. Many are the moments where he needs to reign in his `primal urges' when merely hanging out with the female lead. This all gets to a head when the two go to the beach; Musubu gets an entire page showing off her body twice, whereas Sagami gets one (big) panel. Musubu's body is traditionally beautiful, whereas Sagami's is all skin and bones.
Ultimately, I don't think it's possible to combine these two things. You can't have a love story between two people akwardly trying to get close and also have one be featured as eyecandy and the other play the role as observer constantly fending off their own libido. The end result is jarring and disappointing.

It's sugary but you need to sort of turn off your brain or you'll get a bit disappointed and angry.
Author also tries to help the target audience but at the same time doesn't tackle the main problem for example premature ejaculation (PE) and how to beat it.
For example i think at some point every guy had something similar to PE. It isn't only a condition that needs to be cured it also depends on various factors. Primarily PE as a condition comes from over stimulated brain (You fucking think too much about the process and get overstimulated). Second is your physical condition, if you are undisciplined fat slob PE is your way of life.
Also various other factors might affect you for example abstinence, or getting aroused throughout the day and then finally getting to the point.
Also if you have PE and are too stupid or afraid to tackle it there are alternatives i.e. sex toys and your other body parts. A good lover can make his partner cum without pistoning action (and in reality many can't make their partners cum with only piston action, so it's advice not only for PE but for everyone, fucking doujin and porn created a problem for many young adults in that sector)
Next point which is getting to know a girl, i think a father figure or brutal inner voice should have told him get the grip wimp and take the lead and confess. Brooding over and getting ready to confess ( waiting for the right moment) isn't the correct way of doing it. While you wait the world will burnout, meaning while you are contemplating and waiting the person of interest might get away. (Respectively it an advice for both men and women). Like a guy waited for 1.5 years before he mustered to even approach her in that time some people can manage meeting someone, marrying and having a kid......
And as for his "primal urges" I don't think he acted too slow when they started dating. In fact pacing was normal considering that she is older, socially awkward and with 0 experience herself. One thing is correct though and even harmful.
They create unreal expectations for skinny and pathetic guys i.e. meeting buxxon beauty....Like for real create someone plain or normal an average Japanese girl, help your fucking country increase fertility.

So with everything that i said, i think it's a bad guide for the audience. It doesn't guide it just works as fiction and entertainment, without much factual help to the audience.
