TL;DR this shit is dumb, riddled with plotholes, and the MC is retarded as hell.
edit: the villains are dumb as well, so there's that too.
i'm too lazy to reread this, so, is there a reason why he isn't just shanking the king and/or the princess?
every reason i can think of right now ends up being a plothole except maybe that he's hesitant to stab a bitch in the eyes, but that isn't even hinted at.
still, that kind of reasoning would be weak as he isn't even fliching when killing monsters,
killing one or two humans who want to exploit you, and essentially send you to your death shouldn't be THAT hard, not like he doesn't have the opportunities or means to do so.
maybe he's worried about what would come after he kills the king/princess? meh.
this whole setup just doesn't make much sense and/or is riddled with more plotholes than any swiss cheese could muster holes.
you could argue that the MC's negligent bahaviour, and the correction of it, could be his motivation for his actions (i know pretty weak motivation, but eh),
but that wasn't even what the author wanted his motivation to be.

@Eschaton plot holes are inconsistencies within a story that make events illogical or straight up impossible to occur when the logic of that story is taken into consideration.
that's why it doesn't make any sense that the MC isn't doing jack shit to prevent the king's and/or princess's plans even though he's capable and knows their motives
or the negligence with that curse thingy, everybody knows that someone was cursed, but nobody raises any suspicions to if another classmate could be cursed after the MC points it out.
they just go out of the dungeon. wouldn't it be more logical to check the rest of the class, cause they spent alot of time close to each other,
so, the probability of another classmate being cursed is rather high, right? no mention of that anywhere.
the list goes on and on. (i may be wrong on my examples, but i can't be bothered to reread everything, my point should be clear regardless.)
that wouldn't be a problem if everyone was portraited as incompetent dumbasses, but they aren't, quite the opposite in fact,
at least the author is trying to make them look competent, i guess?

@monkey123 that's what's called a deus ex machina. that would make "sense" in that situation, but there's nothing that hints at such a thing being possible, like, at all and thus would be an ass pull if i've ever seen one. and even if the MC was to fail, he has his op stealth and can gtfo whenever he wants.

LUL @all those ragers. Let's say the MC tries to backstab the princess and/or king in this chapter. What would happen if he failed it or those persons have a protection spell? Yeah right, the MC would definitely be fucked, so he rather stays safe than sorry.

Mc could of shank the princess or the king with his stealth, but that wouldn’t do much besides revenge and maybe remove the curse the princess placed on MC’s classmates? But even at that point if he’s already accused of killing someone and he goes of to kill another two how tf would someone believe he is not guilty with zero evidence of his innocence?
Needless to say the princess could be using the classmates as a shield, ie..if you kill me they die.

This is based on a Japanese novel made for teens, if the author adds killing humans(no matter if they deserve it and it makes sense to do it) the rating changes from teens to mature, making him lose audience. So, the author is forced to write this kind of stupid decision to protect the teenagers from the violence of reality and his, of course, his salary as well ;p

With that amount of stealth skill, he just had to uncloak himself and confront the princess ... okay then. Here he could just stab the king and princess on his way out but ~ nope, not even gonna try, not enough sleep, just jump off from castle wall and call it a day ... great decision! Take you time, as the kings and princess proceed to brainwash all your companion into their puppet for their plan.

Stupid MC and stupid author for making the MC so stupid revealing his face to the princess and getting the knight killed. And now here comes the revenge plot im the story, damn it feels quite edgy to me all these revenge and power shit. All he needs is a proper working brain to utilize his assassin skills to kill those bastards without leaving any evidence that will lead to him ?
