So you won, but I don't like the outcome, so I force you into a rematch, hoping it will end in a different way. How is that different from what his daughter did? Somebody bitchslap that old fart, too.

So the entire populace is basically under the control of that one elf princess?

Why even bother with that sham of a government? It's pretty clear that have no intention of honoring anything, and I doubt they'll let Akira leave alive now that he6s slighted their combat ability.

This is how a family typically is depicted. Father tries to be a dad whilst his kids are both trying to play the victim.

Except this time, more politicking is involved and people die.

Thanks for the chapter Mangasushi. Quality as always 🙂

If the spoiler is accurate I'll be dropping this. I can tolerate a lot of stupid characters, plot, and arcs but that's too much for a mediocre series like this.

@Qelix I think it's more like the king wanted to have MC-kun to actually see his daughter's swordsmanship and appreciate it if he is actually stronger as she was making light of him and was not prepared.

@jokerxhisoka 'cept the king himself confirmed that he wasn't there. We also know the time table isn't that huge on this, it's not like she's been gone a year. So everything I said pretty much automatically becomes true, unless something that the manga hasn't shown us exist. And saying that is the case is the assumption.

You're assuming there is some way for the King to have found out that his daughter ran away, or that the MC at least knows of a way and should thus be suspicious of the king. Because no matter how you look at it, the manga -confirms- that the king wasn't there and was unaware of what happened. He even said "What did you plan on doing to your sister" and the guards tried to explain "What the big sister did to teh little sister" if the king was there for it, they wouldn't need to explain. This is some basic reading comprehension stuff. There is no reason for the MC to doubt the fact that the king was unaware of what was happening, and thus no reason to be suspicious of the king not sending people after his older daughter.

Edit: Now if you're talking about his lack of caution with following the king, that's something different, but also kinda a bad call, cause he is cautious, but also way stronger than them. Remember, he can see stats. So even if the King plans on trying to back stab him, he's confident he can get out of it with his stats and abilities.

As per Kikaibaka.

Kirika fucked up when spreading luring powder during a dungeon training run, tons of people die, Amelia kills the monsters and resurrects everyone, father wipes everyone's memory of the event and subsequently of Kirika in order to protect her from being crushed by the guilt, Kirika develops an inferiority complex towards Amelia(because their father thought she was too young to learn the truth and never told her, kept putting it off because she seemed so composed(TOTALLY MAKES SENSE RIGHT?)) and plots to usurp everything she has, Kirika proceeds to use her charm on literally everyone, including the King(who never realized it somehow) and Amelia(which is why she is so self-depreciative now), leads to Amelia getting labeled a criminal and exiled, no one is punished and Kirika and the King just say oops our bad once the charm is dropped and he reveals the truth of what Kirika did. Oh and the King didn't wipe Amelia's memory either which just compounds how monumentally stupid all the shit that happened thereafter is.

Okay, that's really dumb 🙄
I understand that this is how the author try to make her a villain but not with the father and the rest of the elf people, but still, this is just dumb
I'm dropping this, thanks

I bet five cents the only reason the author bothered having the other princess mesmerize every elf other than the king is so that the elves can get un-mesmerized after the duel and reveal how much everyone actually loves the heroine elf and how she isn't unwanted etc so she can get her happy resolution as she leaves.

Thanks for the release, Sooooooosh. Your team's name always makes me hungry.
Always confuses me when people need to announce: "I'm dropping this", as if everyone was waiting for their approval. The same people who next time something comes up they don't like will pop in with a "I though I'd give it another chance, but..." -- as if they ever stopped.
Anyway, don't take spoilers and hearsay as gospel and form your own opinions. Then, if you move on, skip the announcement.

@Gaiseric9 Thanks for the spoiler. I guessed there would be some stupid reason for all happenings right now based on the how the story unfold during the commander assassination. Glad I wasn't wrong.

If you think that the manga is bad and full of bullshit, yes the LN is even worse. It doesn't have world development, it's full of F boring dialogues the characters are all dumb, MC gets overly attached to heroine and her romance is as much boring as my EX, she simply says that MC is just MC and he just does what he does for being MC.

IDK when this series get interesting

@Kikaibaka that's where I gave the LN up, the whole situation showed clearly how little thought the author gave to the personality of the MC (later arc showcase this even more)

The one reason I like the manga way more than the LN is that it's very well drawn. I hope the artist can bring alive the amazing couple of fights that occur in the LN. For those that don't like how the MC behaves, beware he will slowly turn into a generic Isekai MC overtime. He really isn't an assassin most of the time, like the last and this arc showed.
