Man, this whole thing is like... the author had a genuinely interesting idea for a mindfucky horror story about two princesses and the horrible consequences that spiralled out from a child's error and their father's well-meaning mistake, but instead of diverting time and attention from his primary project or shelving it for later, he just... smooshed the story into the one he was already writing.

Like, this evil princess character has not remotely earned the amount of time and energy being spent on unpacking her crimes and motivations. The only character we halfway care about in this situation is the party member elf, but she's not even the central character of this arc - her evil little sister has way more agency and personality than she does.

She can't even take an active role in solving the problem, because bland ninja boy is obligated to play that part, even though he has literally no reason to be here and no interest in this conflict. Party member elf is relegated to meekly reacting to things, even she should be the reason any of this matters to us.

Even if party member elf did play a bigger role in this little sideshow, she's been here for all of five minutes. We haven't even had a chance to endear her to the audience yet, or properly set up her personal conflict, but here we are, solving it.

Really, the pieces are all here to tell at least one interesting story, but as it is, it's just a tedious distraction.

At this point I literally just skim the manga chapter for a few seconds for some of the artwork and keep going when I see that they're still not done with the sorry excuse for a plotline they're on right now. The story's spiraling into an area that most readers probably don't care about. Like, I don't even care about her inferiority. I care MUCH more about the party member elf and even that is quite little since we know almost nothing about her and her own feelings.

I only followed this one lightly, I don't even actually have it followed here on Mangadex, but if I saw a new chapter came out I'd see what I missed. Yet. . . I think this is as good a point as any to drop this. That stupid cunt should get at least her sword arm chopped off, but no, this MC's too much of a bitch to do something like that.

iirc, at least from the novel, MC would have easily killed her without hesitation. But either because Amelia stopped him, or he held back because he didn't want to hurt Amelia by killing her sister, he didnt kill her. The story picks up a bit once this is over, but overall it is likely nothing that if you are not invested in the story by now, would get you hooked.

That being said, it does have a lot more interesting events, and MC isn't a bitch who will not kill his enemies. He actually does kill people.

if the threaten to harm Amelia, he will kill them if they pose a threat. Also, while in terms of skills, there is not much progression, relationships wise, there actually is quite a bit. Plus

he meets up with some of the classmates who managed to escape for a bit too. They go their seperate ways though afterwords because they are still very underpowered when compared to MC, and need to level up a lot. We get a lot from their POV from then on as well.
