She's so afraid of getting pregnant and winding up with a kid like her that she won't even trust condoms or other forms of contraceptive.
Can't stress it enough: She begged him to kick her in the stomach repeatedly if they ever did it. That wasn't a "I don't want to do it", it was a "Don't worry, we'll do it, then you kick the shit out of me. Possibly literally".

"Sex" isn't just "penetration".
Just saying, though the character can't read it.

So the MC is a cuck.
I'm gonna drop this unless something spectacular happens next chapter.
I just can't tolerate a MC with that kind of mentality. It's like NTR, it just makes me bummed out.

I think I can sympathize, but "being a cuck" or "NTR" are close to the last things to worry about in a situation like theirs, where what constitutes the "right" response involves the active contemplation of variables not actively considered in a relationship with more mentally well-to-do people, even merely phrasing the "right" thing in the wrong way can lead to major and lasting setbacks (e.g. her entering into a self-loathing cycle that concludes with her killing herself), and sometimes a choice having to be made between taking a major setback and an even more severe setback.

Yokoi can be blamed for trying to calculate his response, instead of considering giving his honest feelings. On p. 16, he thinks this is either a shit test or her asking for recognition of a career choice, but never thinks to just say "I don't want you to be doing stuff like that". But we already know that he thinks poorly of the adult entertainment industry because he doesn't consider it a "promising environment" and agrees with Saitou that it must be a "mentally draining environment" on p.15.

Even then, he's had to learn repeatedly and painfully that he can't just speak normally with Saitou.

On one hand, it'd be inconsistent for him to actually think such a career is okay for Saitou, given how he wanted to approach the matter of sex with her (cf. chapter 15). That said, what he says here is an obvious issue in itself because he could be put in a situation where he has to walk back the "permission" he gives here-- "permission" he wasn't even confident about giving-- exposing that he wasn't being genuine or properly considerate if only in that moment.

Despite the good times and progress they've made, and despite Saitou's willingness to change, Yokoi (a man with deep-seated issues, himself) is still playing bomb squad for a girl that isn't even straightforwardly his girlfriend.

And all he has for help is Yahoo Search, overclocked empathy, and a couple of colleagues.

This is a great analysis. Well done my friend.
