In fairness, Reiko's one track mind is only detrimental *before* they start sleeping together.
If she manages to get that far, it turns right around into a major plus.

*laughs*

Yeah, sex looms very large in Reiko's thinking.

But what makes her appealing is that she is concerned to do what she believes to be right. Isekai that girl, and she goes after the Demon King, rescuing villagers on the way.

Well... she might want to do that but her mind's ability to wander into that other territory suggests she might end up more like a certain 'Lalatina'...

no mang, that's her little brother. it's just how anbe tends to draw younger boys. See Takeru in Ika Musume for reference

I agree with most of what you said (don't think MOST of the audience is rooting for mochan, probably hypnotits is ahead because tits), but I don't see why you'd think suzu is ahead of chiaki

chiaki consistently is shown as being more conscious of d as a guy, and has also been the most proactive about showing it (not that that's saying much, none of them are particularly big on that, since they're really just friends). suzu seems to like d more as a resource and an ally than anything else, the real relationship there is suzu and d's sister (not romantic, just relationship)

also chiaki stuck in jungle gym

also chiaki is the 'balanced' char of the three (who are the only actual options, anyone who thinks an outsider has a chance is deluded [not that this will ever actually turn into romance])
kotone - sexy type body
suzu - loli type body
chiaki - dead center between the two

how often does a mc wind up with sexy char when there's a more average body type char available? Not often (but not never)

If one were simply considering sex appeal, then a reckless, athletic girl would naturally take the lead. Or, alternately, if Daisuke were himself a reckless, athletic guy like Junichirou, then such a girl might be the better match. But Suzu presents the better long-term prospect for a guy like Daisuke. Chiaki is either extraordinarily unwilling to use her brain or actually stupid. Suzu is plainly aware of Daisuke as a potential mate, but she is much more modest about such things. Having Daisuke's sister on her side gives Suzu a better position to become part of Daisuke's family.

does she tho?
Daisuke is a 'potential mate' to suzu about as much as you are to literally any female you're friendly with.

chiaki is, academically, not bright. I don't see how that's relevant tho, considering that outside of the club she seems to have common sense by normal (in the manga) standards. Suzu, not so much.

also consider the author's previous work. violence (chizuru) is where it's at for anbe

but again, no one will date anyone because then 80% of the jokes are no longer funny and it's not that kind of series

If you'll show me a point in the story in which Suzu has been shown to think of some other male character as much as she has of Daisuke, then you'll have a case for the “any female friend” claim.

Chiaki is unmotivated or untalented not merely with respect to academics. She is signally lacking in thoughtfulness in any context, including what most people would call “common sense”. Consider her attempts at stage magic, in which she substitutes brute strength for tricks, with the result usually being destruction; or recall the cake box which had a false bottom but no true bottom, so that the cake hit the floor. Again, she either won't think or she's just stupid. To the extent that Suzu sticks with her original characterization, she lives as if in a different world; she is either connected to the occult or she's a chuunibyou, but she at least learns and follows the rules of that world. (And note that the character of Suzu has, with time, been made less of a black maga or of a wannabe black maga.)

Indeed, so long as the series does not approach a conclusion, no girl can establish an insurmountable lead. However, if they choose to wrap-up the series, then they might (or might not) let one of the girls win. And the series will not go-on forever, so it's not perfectly idle to pay attention to which of the girls has established a lead.

pretty sure you're just willfully ignoring a ton of examples, so it's kind of a moot argument

there's nothing wrong with liking the loli and wanting her to win the d bowl, just don't go crazy trying to prove nonexistent arguments. it's a gag manga dude

If you think that I'm ignoring an example, then offer one. Note that the only examples so far furnished in this exchange have been by me.

Part of the problem here is that you're confusing two distinct questions: One is the question of which character has the lead; the other is the question of which character either of us likes. That confusion, and your becoming insulting, are what's crazy here.
