She already has seen that work and love aren't clashing, that her coworkers wouldn't have problems with a same-sex couple, and if for some reason she fears that the promotion could slip away (because higher-ups are full of old man) she can just talk to her and compromise, like "let's keep it a secret until I'm officially the new director"; so why putting up ANOTHER facade?

Sorry but this time it really feels forced, like a way to extend the manga...

i get that hiroko is just trying to protect ayaka from the same thing that happened to her before, but she doesnt realize that ayaka neither wants nor needs that type of protection
but im sure she'll have no choice but to accept it very soon, knowing how ayaka is, she wont give up anyway

I guess I can see where Hiroko is coming from, she’s in her early 30s, she has spent well over a decade on her career, and is on her way to a important promotion. If she misses this chance due to any thing, be it office romance or any Gossip,etc she’ll lose it all!
Ayaka is young, in her early 20s, she can move to many companies easily.
So right now I understand Hiroko’s position.
Ayaka being in her early 20s will have difficulty in understanding Hiroko’s position..
But we know that the pair end up together in the end.
So one way to some this is to have Ayaka change her company and then confess..

Its really going in circles.. Have to say it started good, but it's kind of losing its appeal for me, since every chapter feels like a repeat of the one before and we're getting nowhere.. I also can't say Hiroko had much character development in all those chapters, because she's been going on and on about the same stuff, without actually working on any of it.

And Ayaka's 'Love' starts to feel less like 'love' and more like obsession at this point

She worked on both, yeah, but saying it was dropped implies something that didn't happen. That's why I asked. "Dropped" makes it seem like she stopped working on Black & White permanently.

How'd you like "Black & White" BTW?
