To be fair, if boy Matsuri was the real one then I wonder why they gave girl Matsuri the character arc from a few chapters ago.

I wonder if the author has the guts to make the male Matsuri the real one...
Or it will actually be both of them are omokages that were split from the one real Matsuri.

Boy Matsuri's complaining that Suzu's closer to girl Matsuri, but I don't see him actually trying to approach her.

Apparently, Matsuri cannot maintain an emotional connection with a girl without being one, because he's That Kinda Guy.

What a cliffhanger. Now I really want to know what Mei has to say.

Anyway I found this chapter very interesting. Suzu now has Boy Matsuri, part of her past, the boy she always loved; and Girl Matsuri, part of her present, her friend and also her love. The fact that she prefers the girl Matsuri shows some growth and (I may say) some realism, as feelings that are constantly cultivated should overcome past feelings, no matter how strong they were.

I feel kind of bad for Boy Matsuri, since he really is as real as Girl Matsuri, feelings and all, and I wouldn't want him to be hurt. Mei has the key to the only way out of this, I think. That's why I so want to know what she knows.

Boy Matsuri has like... a million options.
He should just let them be gay and get with a girl who appreciates him.

The premise of this manga is that Matsuri can only ever love Suzu, it's not that simple for him.
Then the premise itself is stupid.
Why introduce other girls with potential romantic interest in him if that's the case?
Why introduce a guy who's interested in genderbent version of him if that's the case?

Yeah. I get it. Ayakashi Triangle. Bunch of triangles involved and Matsuri's been in love with Suzu for like... ever. It won't be easy to move on. But like damn it if it isn't the best possible outcome. Just let him get together with inventor chick. She has strong feelings and respect towards him, and is fully loyal to him.

Suzu can't decide between the two. Make the choice for her. If he really cares about her being happy, he should do what makes her happy and find happiness on his own.

Lol when he's back to being a guy the criticisms start rolling in.
Looks like people are just way more critical of male characters than female characters. He was the same as a girl.

It's a harem ecchi manga, so they introduce more girls for fan service purposes and hijinks. But the main pairing is clear, there's no room for 3rd parties. I mean, the closest we got to a love triangle is because Matsuri split in two.

He explicitly was not, even if it was just a consequence of being Suzu's "girl friend" to be a better bodyguard.
