I am so confused. Is this heartwarming? It's so surreal overall.

His "mother" doesn't even qualify as a human being to onlookers, so I'm not even sure if he's not actually insane and projecting on a homemade doll anymore with his real mother being literally gone (with him subconsciously moving it around to simulate life).

Having come across the raws a while ago.
There's a reason for the style, It's a very melancholic series
I hope it is eventually translated to the end at chapter 29, the ending tied up loose ends and it gets pretty excitig at times but also utterly heartbreaking.
Really a great series.
