i might actually drop the series then. the only reason the mc allied himself with the dwarves was because they werent the type that would use humans as toys because they only care about their research. allowing an evil person to live, that has done atrocities to people just like what has been done to our mc, its a flaw as a character at best, or shit writing at worst.

Unless you're rewarding them Roman style, you're just setting yourself up for an eventual backstab. The only traitors that deserve even a second glance are the ones who turned after being outcast/ousted.
