Hey Kiyo, what clams are you referring to? It seems the SuzuTori ship is still sailing, and after watching the extra stories, I'm on board with that ship. Yuu makes a cute couple with Rura.

There are SuzuYuu side stories and plenty of twitter extras but no one’s translated them yet.

Besides, childhood friend IF route is SuzuTori on the surface but it could be said it’s really a SuzuYuu route in disguise.

Yeah. I've seen the extras on Twitter. It's still curious, to say the least. I would say that the SuzuTori ship has progressed more during all this time than the YuuSuzu ship, which has been practically stagnant since the beginning and little has changed in that regard. I like Yuu, but as a protagonist she's awful and I have affection for Suzu, which makes me angry when I see how Yuu discards her so lightly. I feel like Suzu doesn't deserve that treatment from her. In the end, it's a vicious cycle of unrequited love. That's why Atori's approach to Suzu seems more significant and interesting, and why I'm currently invested in that ship, regardless of its final fate.

My question is if / when Suzu decides to actually pursue Yuu. Yuu doesn’t notice Suzu’s affections but Suzu is not actively trying to change their relationship at the moment. And this has been the dynamic for years, so to be fair it’s not like there’s a big change in the emotional energy for Yuu to pick up on.

(IMO the reason it hasn’t happened yet is it would add plot and stakes that need to be resolved. That's a big shift from the current vibe).

And I get the SuzuTori appeal. They're the two most attractive characters, they have a fun dynamic, and the tension makes things exciting. I’m happy to have that ship in the mix since it makes the story more interesting. But I’d be upset if it ended up with SuzuTori confirmed. It would feel incredibly unfair to Yuu if she hopelessly pursues her idol and ends up pairing her off with her best friend who Yuu would definitely be into if they didn’t grow up together. I also struggle to see the plot developing to a point where Suzu is ok with betraying Yuu to that degree. This is a Kirara gag manga with plot, this ain’t Yuri Hime.

And I’m also cool with YuuRu… for Ru’s cute one-sided affection. They’ve done nothing to even hint Yuu could be into her, so it would feel forced to me if they got together.

Honestly the real end game could be the love triangle spinning around forever. At least that’s the status quo the characters are fine with in the story at the moment.
