I love the nickname part. In hispanic culture once you're given a nickname it sticks for life. For example my bros name is Erik, but since being a baby he got the nickname Payo and 13 years later NO ONE in the family calls him Erik. Even in doctor appointments we refer to him as Payo, his own doctor adopted it. Only in school is he referred to as Erik, which is weird hahah. In the mean time mine is Nanis, because my name 'Amairani' was too hard for my baby sister to say so she would say Nanis and it thus there goes my name down the drain and now I'm Nanis so when I heard my actual name it takes me a second to respond to it hahah. My dad's is Pipo (real name Alonso), and my sisters is Tutuy (real name Kimberly) and my mom's is Güera (real name Alicia).
