Nice that Jyousei is redeemed. I'm assuming that Kai is just doing the same thing Jyou's doing, acting "tough" to psyche out the opponent. Both of them are pretending they dont care about the cat.

I have two theories on what Kai meant in the last page. The sad theory: the reason Kai took the kitties home was in case he felt pressured to go into his "abnormal state" again (and if that happened he would kill them).
The better (as in not sad) theory: Kai, currently in his "abnormal state," is just saying stuff he doesn't actually mean cause he has no self-control at the moment.
Also, I wonder if the name of the park (Minowa) is a reference to the Usogui character....?

We haven't see Kai since 30 some chapters ago, so he's probably been left to his own devices ever since the school festival. He's gone over the edge
probably assuming his cat, Translucent, is dead. Not to mention the overwhelming defeat he experienced back then.
