@victorkok It's not the curve that's the most important part. It's the fact that the pass is perfectly weighted. The best through ball you can receive is one for which you don't need to stop running. Both here and in the original passage of play in Chapter 5, the pass has just the right weight so that the receiver can shoot without taking a touch or breaking their run.
That is a pretty difficult pass to pull off, and even pros often fail to execute it. The passer needs to match the striker's run perfectly while in the case of the OG pass Ryuu also had to have the right timing to bypass the offside trap. There's a reason why fans, commentators, managers, and players cream their pants every time someone pulls off a perfect through ball irl. It's one of the most beautiful plays in football
Here's a good example: https://youtu.be/JntENdz4g1M?t=356. Right into the striker's path, who can just dink it without breaking his stride or taking another touch. If you look through the whole video you'll see that even many of the examples here have little imperfections here and there.
https://youtu.be/JntENdz4g1M?t=31 is also pretty good actually.
The best weight of pass I've seen live on TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOI5sDZbvsI. Art.
