Looking back on the early chapters is great because you can see how the artist has improved. Like Legosi's design later on is much more fluid and fluffy and the other animals faces are more expressive

Re-reading the manga again after watching ep 1 of the anime.
Honestly they either skipped or messed up like 70% of the scenes from the manga.
CGI looks horrible, too, like it's locked at 20fps.

They did skip over some stuff, but even with that said the first episode of the anime was great, though I did feel that something was wrong with Haru's nose.

@kurohanani The word you are looking for is rushed. (They have adapted nearly 4 chapters and episode which is causing manjor pacing problems) Honestly its the main problem with the anime so far. The animation quality and most of the scenes are fairly well done. The CGI is much better than I was expecting, almost nearing perfection at some points.

They for some reason though missed the point of the series. Its can be seen very blatantly when you look at something like when the mongoose is introduced. They basically skipped all of his buildup and threw away the tension of the scene between the key characters that happens. It happens a lot where a scene is shown without proper setup/buildup and everything feels out of place.

Edit: Also its feels like characters aren't being presented very well. Everything feels almost stale and stagnant. Character depth has been lost in translation and it really ruins the anime if you know the characters well and are caught up with the manga.(Or have really read any of the manga for the most part)

@daywithoutgames Murenase quite literally has a shit-eating koala in it, and that's the only joke she has in the whole series lol. If all you care about is how cute the characters are, this manga is above your comprehension anyway

I'm finally checking this out. I had been seeing chapters translated for who knows how long, then started seeing people talk about it.

First chapter was pretty good. I'll probably marathon it once I catch up on Kingdom.
