Well Legosi didn't end with Louise, but at least he has Zaguan.

I can't believe it is ending after we finally got rid of the Melon filer arc.

No way, does it really end at 196?? I mean I'm not particularly going to miss it, but Haru has been practically nonexistent this entire time.... the last three chapters are going to feel super rushed for sure

After hearing about the series ending in 3 chapters, it now make sense why this last arc was such a fucking mess. Poor Paru couldn't decide what mattered and what didn't or figure out how best to pace out all the dangling plot threads that had to be shoved to the side so they could get to the ending. It's kinda sad, honestly. Up until a few months ago, this series still had a lot of potential.

I'd guess the author got a heads up this might be coming and tried going full shonen to try and garner hype for the series. I personally didn't hate the last arc but what got me into the series was more the characters and the world, not gang wars lol Still looking forward to seeing the ending though and still happy I've read the series.

Paru really didn't know what do to for this arc and it truly shows in the final product. I feel actually sad admitting this but Beastars got me out into a thing for writing and to see it turn into a car crash of too many ideas and loose ends untied, Paru hopefully will make edits in the future or do an overhaul of the series when she ends it. The series was a 9/10 from the beginning for me and now it's more confused than a bicurious teenager going through high school. Had so much potential and focus until she added the imagery chimera into the picture. 6/10. Just, Jesus Christ.

Beastars is similar to The Promised Neverland in terms of story telling/popularity. Both were really interesting in the beginning but as time went on the authors didn't really know how to continue it. I can't blame them, writing a good story is hard. I also don't hate either story. Although my interest from both dwindled as time went on, I can't say their bad, just average, which is a shame since Beastars was really hyped up (so was TPN) and I can only feel bad for the anime only watchers because they will surely be disappointed. I just hope it doesn't end up "hated" (I'm using that term loosely, I know the people on kiss shat on it a lot but idk how the majority of TPN fans felt about the last few arcs) like The Promised Neverland

Literal filler. Seal wants to leave, doesn’t. Maybe something will happen with Juno. Fish will do trade but they don’t want that really. This chapter was useless.

As much as I don't want this to end, I'm seeing she meant it when she said 200 will be the final chapter. I really liked the series, but it's time to wind down.

Not dissing the whole manga, but this whole thing went downhill with the Melon Arc. Paru should have made it much shorter. The whole whale scene barely makes sense. Apparently the whole time, the fish people wanted to sell fish meat to land animals. But then Yafya says Nah I don't want it. And the whale is impressed with with the land animal's maturity. I guess what they were trying to say was that they would give them the option of fish meat when they thought the land animals would be ready to refuse it? But then what does that really accomplish? Also, how does Yafya get to speak on behalf of the whole society when fishmeat really doesn't affect him. And how does the trade of fish meat cause conflict when the fish people are ultimately just fucking stoners? Who the fuck is picking a fight with the stoners that are giving them their fix? If anyone can interpret that for me I'd appreciate it. Because rn I just think that made no fucking sense. I can get the seal scene because sea animals just do whatever the fuck they want but god damn just make it shorter and include more scenes of Juno and Louis or something that is actually relevant. Christ I'm glad this is ending soon so I can finally have some peace. I don't hate the whole thing, but this arc makes so little sense. Legosi didn't even use his Imaginary chimera or whatever once during the fight against Melon. What was the whole point of the training arc? What was the point of anything? Half the cast just gets blipped out of existence in this arc, fucking Haru might as well become Asuna from SAO. She just seems to have no value at this point in the story. What was the point of all of this?

Thanks for the update!!

@Podi125 From all of your questions, the only one I think I have an answer for is the whole "why did Yafya say no" and for me it was more of the "we are just starting to get things straight here, we can't really put more into the mix, specially with people who have a completely different mentality than us", but hey, maybe I'm wrong. I basically share all the other points you made.

@Macarena Like I get why he said no, but I don't think he has the right to speak on behalf of all animals. He has never walked in the shoes of a carnivore so rejecting their one option that seems rather plausible is kinda silly. I still don't get why its not legal to eat the corpse of dead animals though. I get how its wrong by human standards, but when you have a whole group of animals that need to eat meat, sometimes you gotta make compromises. Its better than the back alley market where animals get fucking murdered.

I’m honestly kind of mad zaugan gets more appearance in this arc than Louis and Haru. It makes no sense.

"Trade is a source of conflict" is it? I mean it has the potential to be but I feel like mostly it's the opposite.

Melon is just a corrupt politician in the making. At least put him on death row and execute him.
