8gb is not really enough imo. it will be 7.5gb after integrated graphic. You should be able to set how much it will be taking in the bios usually. Try to find a deal to upgrade the ssd. Hopefully this one is not directly soldered onto the board. Check that too.

Oh yeah, about that. I believe the RAM is upgradeable, and so is the SSD, so I plan to buy some more RAMs along with a 1TB of SSD
Edit: In the screenshot I included it did say "Up to 64GB of RAM"

The unupgradable one with the 16gb ddr5 and the 6500m 4gb vram (not shared with system? If not shared, then its good) seem a better deal and has a bigger storage too. So long you stay at 1080p and maybe medium texture and at low-med particle effect.

Graphics have two options: shared (which take up extra RAM) and non-shared, which simply use the amount they need to. The good news are that RAM is the cheapest component, try looking to personalise the laptop (unless you find a bargain) and check all the parts: SSD by default, at least half Terrabyte, 16GB of RAM or more (64GB is perfect) and for processor and graphics in the Western lands we would recommend at least last generation U5 (though by experience splurging for a U7 is extremely worth) and for graphics NVidia 1060 or 1070 if you can (at least you need 1GB to play, last generation games ask for 4GB). Surely you can find the equivalents, just don't buy Intel Graphics Cards, they suck really hard. If you need to cut on something to take the minimum the I'd say the graphics, but the processor is extremely important because it's not only for videogames or quality display, it's required for any program to run smoothly.

fair, but the options he currently has are all amd, and I don't think the indonesian market sells laptops with gtx 1060s or 70s anymore

like let's say you want to send your asus rtx 3060 to them because of something minor

they come back, and give you a big-ass bill because there were issues all around

In This Thread (ITT): I want to consult to you guys before I upgrade my laptop's RAM. I've talked to my friend quite extensively about this, but I just want to make sure before committing to it.

First of all, why do I wanna upgrade my RAM? Cuz having 4GB RAM sucks ass. I mainly want to play Wuthering Waves without it looking like a goddamn PowerPoint presentation.

With that out of the way, here's my laptop model:

I did a some searching and I'm pretty sure this model is "upgradable". But here's where I'm having issues: I checked through cmd (using wmic memphysical get maxcapacity) that my laptop can only handle 12GB of RAM

And I only have 1 free slot for RAM. The other one is 4GB and it's soldered to the motherboard.

which sucks, cuz I think Wuthering Waves' minimal requirement of RAM is 16GB. But then I searched a bit more and found that I can actually surpass the memory limit. Like

So here I am, conflicted; should I play it safe and buy a 8GB RAM? Or should I just go ahead and buy a 16GB RAM? Feel free to correct any mistakes I made and please tell me before I pick the wrong choice

First of all, thank you for responding to my thread. I got 12GB of RAM now, and it's seriously llfe changing. Can't believe I finished Fallout 4 with only 4GB of RAM.
