It was more to capture and extract information, unless you mean by the kid- in which case nullifying and disarming are good enough for him, since he's turned into somewhat of a pacifist, it seems.

I wouldn’t really call it hypocrisy. Tōjurō so far has never attacked humans, though Jashid clearly has no problem doing it.

From the very beginning, Tōjurō has always been true to himself. He may protect or pacify anomalies from time to time, but he’s not afraid to kick an anomaly’s ass or even kill them to defend humans, other anomalies, and especially his friends.

As far as dealing with Jashid is concerned, he could tell Jashid relied too heavily on technology, and didn’t display any form of combat skills or supernatural powers. It would’ve been a one sided fist fight. He probably didn’t feel comfortable with beating up or killing essentially an unarmed man. Assuming if Tōjurō knows that Jashid is a fellow EXORZ exorcist, he might be hesitant to take things too far, it might land him in hot water with EXORZ; once again, Jashid didn’t give a single fuck, but neither did Quatre.

I do wholeheartedly agree with you that Tōjurō still should’ve kicked Jashid’s ass for good measure.
