So yokai here have their own society that's existed for a long time in hiding to protect themselves, and these yokai are being conflated together with the more recent "anomaly" type monsters, whether or not they actually have the same origin as the ones that are spawning and attacking places seems like it hasn't been solidly confirmed yet.
This whole creepypasta generation thing seems to be very actively targeting the yokai even when they're out in human form, so I don't think it's out of the question that the creepypasta machine thing is some new kind of exorcism tool that let's someone intentionally summon and control these human-made anomalies and someone is using them as a weapon against the yokai.

Don’t forget that back in Chapter 12, Ayame said that Yōkai also live in Human cities.

Since we’re talking about the Spirit Realm, I’ll share what Tsukinami said on Twitter (X) a while back:

A JP fan asked series artist, Kousuke Tsukinami, about the Inn that was featured in Chapter 13. They asked if this meant that the Spirit Realm gets frequent visits from Yōkai that live in other Spirit Realms. They also asked if humans occasionally, blindly wander into the Spirit Realm, and if the inn is possibly owned by a Shita-Kiri Suzume or a Tongue-Cut Sparrow.

After discussing this with Suzune (the author), Tsukinami replied:

"Since Yōkai live in settlements, in various regions across Japan, it makes perfect sense for them to be the inn's primary guests.

Humans can only be invited to the Spirit Realm, it's extremely rare for them to just wander into it."

As for the inn's owner, Tsukinami said that he too wonders who the owner is...

Both are as generic as her name. Furry nine-tailed fox loli-baba shrine priestess/maidens/goddesses have become a common enough subversion that neither version would really stand out in a line up of female nine-tailed foxes.
I disagree, big tiddies anime girls are literally everywhere, thousands upon thousands of them, furry characters as a whole are pretty rare unless the manga is specifically made to appeal furries, and even then that's a niche

Is furry fox girl kinda of common? Sure, but they're still a rarity in the grand scheme of things

A JP fan recently asked Tsukinami a pretty interesting question about Ayame. He essentially wanted to know if Ayame’s lower body limits her to only having children with her own species. They also asked if her human form can still have children with a human male, is it possible for her & her human “Baby Daddy” “husband” to apply for childcare financial assistance.

Tsukinami: “Now that’s one helluva question! In Behemuko, anomalies can only exist due to [Myths], [Folklore], and [Rumors] about them. An anomaly’s power is dependent on how humans imagine, and perceive them. Don’t take this as affirmation, if humans firmly believe [Yōkai can have children with Humans], then maybe…?”

Being uncommon in the mainstream doesn't stop a design from being generic. As I said, neither design would stand out in a fox girl line-up.
