Soo now that he doesn't have a blessed weapon anymore, is Jake completely out of the picture or will he still be able to stay révélant ? It's not like he can protect Yuri anymore, will he just become like Ian ?
But mmmm, Ian showing the start of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT? Say it isn't so! That's interesting, and surprisingly... satisfying? Ever-so slightly. I wonder what kind of worrying development this is anticipating...
hmm... Yeah Jake could end up holding a grudge over Monica's untimely passing and may try to get revenge over it... or tattle on Melissa to their father one or the other. Also with the black miasma/energy at the end there maybe it has something to do with the demons that once ruled the country, like their either trying to come back or perhaps they are now trying to influence events in the country/novel?
Ian becoming less of a fucboi is definitely a welcome development. As much as I enjoy Melissa dunking on these 4 idiots, seeing them genuinely self-reflect and change would be nice to see as well.
It's technically Jack that broke the gun. So why not have him compensate, it's all his fault really.
I also don't like that ominous ending... But I am interested in how the story will go from here.
