His level is about half of his, and he stated himself that it gets much tougher to train from that point on. He has no idea about the most important stats (atk and def). He still doesn't know shit about the world he's in. It's reckless as hell to go challenge another god's disciple. (Disciple's meaning here that they've met their gods and are their representatives.)

You forgot that the MC cannot see the full status of the fake priest.
E.g.:
The fake priest can use fire and water attributes which are opposing elements in this story.
The explanation he received is that humans cannot use the element opposite to their own.
So being able to use 2 opposing elements means that your real main element is a different one and hence you can use at least 3 different elements.
That is what the MC found out but he does not know the actual main element of the fake priest.
As such that can only mean that the MC cannot see the complete status of the fake priest.
Therefore there is the high possibility that the fake priest has some means of concealing his status so much that even the MC cannot see through the concealment completely.
And with that being the case we cannot be sure if the MC actually sees the real stats of the fake priest or if those values are just faked values to trick potential enemies into underestimating him.

yeah, it's true that it's reckless considering that he doesn't have any experience fighting actual people with magic and skills yet. It would be a newb mistake to think he can get by just from the stats. However, statwise, he isn't that different. He said it was difficult to level from the kobolds but leveling shouldn't be as important to his base ability as the stats themselves. Since you can raise your stats without raising your level by training, level isn't that important. It's just his lack of real combat experience that will be his downfall here. Also, atk and def are secondary stats. They aren't actually the most important, they are just a representation of how the primary stats and equipment add up. Since he can see his primary stats and equipment, the most that would do is show how good his equipment is.

It isn't a skill. The mc originally couldn't see any of his stats and only two of his skills. Since he can see more now that he's stronger, it's more likely the difference in their abilities that decided how much he can see, probably the level difference or something. Also, look at his own list of skills, he added another two rows of skills to it since he's been there. It's a bit much to assume that having 3 kinds of magic gives the priest an edge. Like I said to Zael, the only thing he has a real solid disadvantage in is real combat experience...probably. Don't really know how the priest got that level come to think of it and his stats and skills don't suggest that he's benefited as much from training as the mc has. So, we don't know if the priest has a lot of combat experience but if the mc loses, it would be because of a difference in experience, not because his numbers weren't big enough.
