Magic bind is boring to watch outside of games. It felt awkward like it needed a physical manifestation beyond not being able to move or attack. It was there last chapter then I guess it was too annoying to keep drawing? And of course they can still talk too. He was able to shoot off a spell at the dark elf last chapter too while under the paralysis, but can't at the ogres? And jeeze that dagger was crazy powerful to aoe an entire group w/ an 8+ min paralysis.

Debuffs are overpowered. 8 mins? just have one monster hold of a tank while others kill affected people. Battle done.
Even simple games have animations that make bind reasonable. For example plants holding them, shadow enveloping.
It seems that they were only stuck in one location, therefore usage of magic or ranged weapons should be possible.

Honestly, this chapter was stupid. Realistically whole party would have killed in this situation. Not that situation makes any sense here.

No, their overall movements were restricted too. As you can see, their stances were roughly the same, even wielding a staff should be hard enough.

I really hope that paralyze was some kind of limited use enchantment of that snake dagger thing. If not, a character that can just use it on a whim is so powerful they completely warp the dynamics of any kind of fight.

On another note, why the hell does a kitchen timer have some super healing spell in it, why does he have to start the timer and wait to get it, and when did he actually start the timer? Also, was it a one off or every time the timer runs out?

This is just stupid to me. There's absolutely NO reason for the Demon to have just walked away like that. The characters all died here plain and simple.
It reminded me of the Witcher 3 where Geralt and multiple other Witchers get frozen in place. The bad guys proceed to simply walk by EVERYONE who have been putting up a huge fight because they're frozen in place. Literally why. You would bash their fucking heads in. This is just bullshit deus ex machina, not to mention the fucking pocket watch thing. C'mon.

I get that the spirit of the writing is just hey, the Tank risked his life to protect them - and that's the whole point.
But the actual writing is 'how do I just remove the rest of the party for that to happen.'
