He considered that, but he thought that the store would be suffering a LOT. Especially because the creepy dude work performance was probably exemplary. He didn't want to go down that route. If possible, he wanted his managerial position to remain strong by not making what seems to be a 'weird' decision. Keep in mind the higher ups are all creeps. Even he used to be a creep.
