You could literally replace this battle with any of the earlier ones and it wouldn't seem out of place. Isagi just goes through the same phase of: do a decent play, enemy knocks him on his ass with op technique, continually lose ground, and then he pulls magical powers out of his ass to wow everyone. For once, I just want Isagi to play on an equal footing with new opponents.

@IcyD3 I was literally thinking the same exact thing. Every match is so predictable at this point. I guess we have to wait for Isagi's great "breakthrough" every. single. time. before seeing some good plays 🙄

Good translation. Reading from one text bubble to the next was basically seamless. You guys have come a long way from your earlier translations.

Thank you for translating this. I waited for your update since other team update seem not clear to me. That No3 guy really sly. But what he said is some how true. If Isagi alone he no special. He need his friend to work together. This guy might destroy Isagi confident or create a new one.

You mean like when Isagi and Rin loses to Loki's team? Or when Kunigami loses to Shidou? Or when Isagi loses to Rin and Bachira gets taken away? Or when Barou is the one that unleash his skills after being humiliated by Isagi? Or that match in the earlier chapters where the long haired traitor pulled a foul to give his team a fighting chance?

This bullshit have been spouted in every chapter comment section. The match are not predictable. Just go and re-read this manga if you disagree. 🙄

@Sonaldo Um, yes? Most of the later matches were predictable. Of course the ones in the beginning were interesting because it was the first time we really got to see Isagi doing the game "reading." My point is it's kind of boring to see Isagi always be the underdog when he should have made a lot of progress by now. The author just pulled some bullshit to make it seem like oh WOW, you thought Isagi was good? Well, guess what, there are actually other people you never knew about that are much better! And this happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. We never get to see Isagi fight equally with newly introduced players.

I love Blue Lock, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws, and it's time some of its fans acknowledge them. Also, idk what good going back and reading the chapters will do for me, it's not like I forgot them? LOL.

@ReadUsoguiPlease

You literally see Isagi watching videos of his opponents. Just taking a look at the dialogue from No.3 you can see that he has reading abilities as well, except, as usual ,they are op as fuck. He somehow knows everything about a player from watching one play from them in real life. It just feels boring as hell when we get yet another person just like Isagi, except better.

I think people feel upset and frustrated because they see their beloved character is bullied.😫 They want their hero to be cool and fight with full control of his ability. I feel that too and I also want he fight like the can see through the enemy. 😵

But if I look back to all the matches he went through, I think Isagi still not get to that level yet. His ability is great but his physically, his mentality is still not ready. We can't expect an average player become the top of the player just after about one month and 10 matches, that will be too fast. He still too naive and lack of experience. There so much thing he need to learn. So we need to be patient and wait for he get ready like watch a baby start to walk, he will fall countless time and get up again and again until he master it. 🤗

Try to look other way, it is fun to see Isagi grow when he try to overcome his weakness 😃. The day he stop growing mean the day this story near its ending 😢.

If you don't like the motif of this story, and think it easy to guess, I think you can try to wait until it end to reread it, or wait until the match over (about 8-10 chapters, 2 months). While you wait you can read other story like BE BLUES , Area no Kishi, Giant Killing, Ao Ashi, etc. So you will not get bore. 😉

I listed 4 matches and only one of them are from the beginning. 3 of them are from the later parts of the manga. So mind telling me how it's predictable genius? And you act as if Isagi wasn't an underdog. He is. Like literally. There's literally a ranking system and he didn't even make top 6. Mind telling me when the author made us believe he's not an underdog?

Plus his playing style isn't one that relies on individual abilities like most of the player at Blue Lock. So it would make sense that others are gonna look better than him. Like this is established from when he first met Bachira. Honestly, I think you really forgot the earlier parts of the manga and spout this bullshit 😑. Or maybe you never read them idk.

Edit: I guess we have to wait for Isagi's great "breakthrough" every. single. time. before seeing some good plays

From your first comment.

Did you even read this chapter? Shidou just made a Zlatan-esque finish. Is that not a good play? Or are you here just to mindlessly give your opinion on this without reading it?

No offense against No. 3's playstyle but after dribbling, he's dashing with his arms all over the place. It will be quite easy to take a foul in this scenario

ouch, no more chapters. it's painful when you're having fun reading something and it suddenly ends. up until now we've been seeing isagi's perspective, so it looks like he's absolutely op after his last breakthrough, but author said sike and shoved reality onto my face lol. he looks like he would keep getting better and better, but i wonder if he'll always have room for improvement even when he's op enough? thanks for the translations as always!!

You completely missed my point with every single one of your arguments because you keep bringing up other characters when I was originally talking about Isagi. I know that the other characters are amazing and make epic plays. I'm talking about Isagi's development being lackluster because he is always predictable. YES, in every single one of those matches that you listed, look at the comments--it's not just me, EVERYONE predicted the results. And of course I read the entire manga, I fucking love it. I'm just acknowledging its flaws. Literally stop being a blinded fan, it's painful to watch.

Let me prove this to you with my prediction for chapters in the future: Isagi makes a breakthrough after getting owned sometime either in this match or the next one and impresses people with an epic goal. After this whole process is over, he gets selected for the Japan team. He then goes against the pro players and gets absolutely rekt (once more, who could have predicted this?? 🤡) etc etc, realizes he needs to focus more on his personal play style etc, etc. He has another breakthrough and makes an impressive goal, etc, etc. Bookmark this lol.

>I was originally talking about Isagi.

Lol. I mean let's reread you first comment before you edit it huh?

>Every match is so predictable at this point. I guess we have to wait for Isagi's great "breakthrough" every. single. time. before seeing some good plays

Idk man. You really gonna say you're talking about Isagi being predictable when you worded it like this? I mean this is like you first point.

>Bookmark this lol.

Lol. You must be one of those people who guessed Naruto would win against Pain. I mean it doesn't take a genius to know that the literal MAIN CHARACTER is gonna win. You're a really funny guy lol.

@Sonaldo Um, yes I was talking about Isagi being predictable? I don't have to edit my comment, you literally proved my point for me. I literally said HIS NAME. At this point I honestly think you're either braindead or retarded. "We have to wait for Isagi's breakthroughs before seeing good plays." It's true, he usually doesn't make good plays before we see his breakthroughs. What's your point again?

And I didn't predict that he would win. I predicted that he would lose the first time, win the SECOND (or third) time every time he's against a new opponent. It shouldn't be that way every time. The reason why other shonen fights (like Naruto vs. Pain) are tense is because both are established as strong characters and they fight at equal levels. When Isagi is constantly the underdog, it just gets annoying.
