>I still haven't decided if I'm going to take my time with it or binge the thing over a few days.

When the matches start, dont think you'll be able to take your time reading it. I personally binged the whole thing in around a week. It's just that good. Good luck on your journey mate.

>it definitely seems like it could be better than Blue Lock.

It is better mate. Based on your comment, I could see you're a pretty passionate guy when it comes to football so it will surely be up your alley. The actions are realistic, the characters are wonderful (I'm not just talking about Ryou here), there's no bullshit power scaling and the art itself is great. I would even say it is the best football sports manga I've ever read.

@sidebyboss He really did get nerfed HARD lmfao. I think the author's setting us up for something epic though (hopefully)

>Well we got the match against the world 5 who are all adults over 20yr (except loki) and truly some of the best based on the resume.

I was just about to edit my original comment to write about that. Like this ninja dude legit pulled out a special move complete with name and all when even the world XI never did such thing. Part of me hope the author were just building this guy to be a chuuni and this power move thing are strictly his gimmick.

>I'll check Ao ni Nare when I have time. Though by skimming it a bit, at least I'd say BL has a better art. The art & paneling of this manga is really great, above average among mangas imho.

Ngl, as much as I jerked off to Be Blues, Blue Lock definitely have the upper hand when comparing the art and paneling. However, Be Blues is better than Blue Lock in every other way.

@Sonaldo, It is true that there are many good football mangas. But what you do think is the best depend on each person's taste. Each of story will have a weak and strong point.

For ongoing football manga, this story is the one I still following. Not sure about the future but for now it still have its hype. (Gaint Killing and Be Blues is really good too, but they just can't keep my interesting for long).

Getting bitched by a hand check like that Isagi needs better footwork. He has no 1 on 1 skills at all, and honestly without the hard working mind he's had he would have been left in the dust a long time ago, he's barely hanging on a thread here kind pathetic tbh.

Using your arms and hands like that is usually straight-up foul worthy

dont mind isagi looking like an idiot the whole time, to begin with he was bottom 2nd to the last place for being invited to blue lock in the first place. This whole time he was able to adapt and realize his own talents but it can only go so far compared to others.

I'm getting blue balled so hard with Isagi right now man. If we end up spending the next chapter on the side characters of each team and end it with Isagi finally coming up with a brilliant idea, I'm gonna cry.

Base on the previous matches, Isage will aware things after hist team lost 3th or 4th goal. If he still not make a comeback after that, he fail.

Every now and then, I'd come back to read the chapters I've missed, and it's always something out of this world happening. I think Blue Lock would be fun as an anime, but as a "good" football manga... in my opinion Be Blues and Ao Ashi are light-years ahead. Seriously, if you haven't read Be Blues yet, you should. And Ao Ashi is equally incredible. Both are being scanlanted by Be Blues team, so there's at least a chapter a day released (though Be Blues the manga is on hiatus and Be Blues TEAM has already caught up with all 400+ raws)
