This was a great chapter, but can people stop saying that the manga needs a romance tag? It's frustrating to see people immediately shipping characters who have a deep bound in every manga. They have a great friendship and have not shown any attraction for the other yet. Maybe it will happen in the future. And I'm pretty sure that the author isn't afraid to develop this kind of romance at this point @MagicTime . I guess it's my fault for wandering in the Mangadex comment section but it doesn't mean that you can't improve on your side.

Ok, so is Yuka/Ryuji trans or not? With the noted switch from ore to atashi, and all the other shit, I'm definitely getting that impression. However, looking at all the comments and the way that Yuka/Ryuji is referred to by the translation, I feel like I'm the only one who is getting that impression. Just wondering if there is something that I'm just not getting or that I've missed about this character.

He's bisexual and likes feminine fashion and style, that's all we've been told, as far as I remember. He's acknowledged that he's tried to appear more feminine (EDIT: and homosexual, instead of his real bisexual orientation) than he really feels comfortable with, for the sake of being more easily understood but to the detriment of his own individual expression, and although it's possible that's limited to the recent development we've witnessed, it may have gone on longer than that, and I wouldn't be surprised if he develops a more personal and unique (perhaps even androgynous) aesthetic in the future.

Not really. If I had to define their situation for them it would be:

Sex: Male (Determined solely by biology)
Gender: Transgender (In progress. He still keeps his masculine name but has a feminine nickname (Yuka) and is having problems choosing an identity as seen in this chapter)
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual... I guess (Again, as seen in this chapter)
