We probably won't even hear their names in any capacity,so giving them all the same one stand out quality is good enough.

which is the basics of character design. Especially when you have a limited color pallet to work with.
By your logic the artist should give all of them fat asses because it "works" as a distinguishing feature.

There's a reason why there's so many "plot" and "backstory" memes.

Your attempts at making them sound bad fail to comprehend that they're already in use en masse as features that describe characters.
