Yeah, it came out months before the Season 2 announcement was made, and was one of the reasons why spec about a season 2 flared back up again for a while. If you missed it, not too surprising. I was on the watchout for 'em, and the run was so small I still missed my chance.

Well, announcing a new season after movies/OVAs, etc. is normal practice. Especially since they announced in advance that they were working on new content. Another conversation, a show like BTR are so big that the average viewer assumes a sequel is guaranteed and gets nervous when it doesn't happen right away. Remember how people went crazy without the announcement of sequels to ReZero, Chainsaw man and Frieren.
