Not only did she notice Minori was in a call with Waku and not freak out, she didn't hang up the call. Doing that would have been entirely reasonable and understandable; both were already asleep, why not preserve battery by turning off the camera?

Plus, she's displaying zero antagonism or hostility towards the situation at the end. She seems to have even clued in on the kids' mutual feelings when they themselves haven't.

Guess how she handles their relationship will determine my opinion of her, but so far it just feels like she is squeezing Akari dry so she can enjoy that tasty clout juice.

I am ready to riot. Parents using their children and not caring for the child because of the lifestyle they get to live is a pet peeve. That said, this chapter was awesome and got to see some great expressions from both of them. That bed head was too cute on both ends.

I think Akari in general have good relationship with her mom, I still reckon if she talks it out with her mom re: work and school life balance, they'd be able to come to understanding tbh.

The mom's reaction to the phone and the park scene there are really giving me hope that she isn't going to be an antagonist to the romance. Right now I'm reading her actions as helping 'Akarin,' but it's Oura's choice to be Akarin. If any stress/conflict could just come from Oura being young and having this highly stressful job while the mom is just making decisions to help her handle that job and be responsible, I would be overjoyed. No need for any bad drama here.

The mom isn’t gonna get in the way of them being friends I don’t think. I have a suspicion she may appear at Waku’s work though and ask to talk to him behind Akari’s back though to explain they have to be discreet or something. She’s certainly better than Mao’s mom

Another banger chapter. The cute moments are super cute, and this chapter really added depth to the mom. In earlier chapters she felt like a really controlling antagonist parent who's living vicariously through their child while ignoring how Akari actually feels, but now she feels a little more gray.

Although it's still ambiguous whether she'll step in to their relationship or not, she hasn't done the classic freak out demanding they cut all ties yet, so that's a point for her. The start of the chapter also seems to indicate that she genuinely wants Akari to be successful for her sake rather than completely projecting her own ambitions on her.
