@Kinosseur I don't know about him, but to hell with money from this, I'd prefer to monopolize the power I could earn in that place and only sell any rare items I could find for that money.
that sure is one aggressive sales man... Even if you do have a TV, it doesn't mean you want a cable subscription. You could just be using it to watch movies after all.
PBS and Sesame Street have existed in the US basically since television was even a thing, and it did it off a budget from ACTUAL taxation as well as donations. Japan, you're crazy. So are you, UK. TV taxes are nutty.
@Wireath: In America or the UK you would be right, but in Japan, NHK is allowed entry like that apparently since they're THAT big. So while the salesman was especially aggressive even by Japanese standards, it wasn't illegal. He was pretty much just a desperate jackass looking to make a sale, nothing more.
